Station/ Outpost errors

Wow, not even 2 days anymore guess people want to get them out and deployed. :)

Deklien
In OWXT-5 a new Gallente outpost was deployed, this is the first gall outpost in the region and 3rd outpost for this constellation making it a sov 4.

Some new facts about Dek, it now has four sov 4's. And sits in 5th place for outposts total with 13. Etherium Reach and Tribute each have 12 and might be able to dispute this shortly with the current trend of industrialization of 0.0.

Today is kind of an interesting day for outposts. We have 4 'types' of outposts that can be built by players as everyone knows. But we also have 3 'types' of NPC conquerable stations that have been in the game since 0.0 was introduced. There are two kinds of factories that litterally only differ by appearance of the station. And a 50% refinery station which those people lucky enough to have them in the right spots have turned into the core of a good economy. For an example look at Tribute, dead center in the middle of all the lowest sec space is a 50% refinery station in D7-ZAC. Around which they've built or taken the npc conquerables for a total of 9 factory outposts. All around a single refinery. Pretty impressive to say the least.

Why put the above intel in? Simple, the numbers for outposts sit as follows for reference.

Minmatar refineries 106
Amarr factories 94
Gallente Offices 24
Conquerable factory (1st model) 23
Conquerable refinery 23
Conquerable factory (2nd model) 22
Caldari Research Outpost 17

Only today did the Gallente office outpost finally rise above the NPC stations that had been seeded so many years ago.

Anyway, off on a tangent there. Hope this helps and I'll see if more were seeded as they drop.

Interesting analysis! Gallente outposts just aren't all that useful I guess... people just don't need them offices :)

You should set up a blog, this is some good stuff you're writing

Heya again ombey,

Today we finish another sov 4, this time in P falls again.

Perrigen Falls
In M-SG47 another Amarr Factory was deployed, bringing this constellation to 3 outposts and sov 4 being reached. Second sov 4 for the region and the only drone region besides E. Reach with more then one.

As to the blog, I've never set one up or even read one I believe. I asked around after seeing your comment and I'm not sure I like the organization of a blog as people wouldn't be able to select info they want without I believe alot of linking around by me.

I'm not sure, I'd love to have a place for all of this stuff and theory of why 0.0 developed the way it did to come about but I'm not really in a position to buy a server atm.

Oh and thanks for the kudos in the latest installation :) I aim to please  I figure I can cram in about 10 outposts per update if I watch the way I do. And I've used your maps for the 3+ years I've been in game, I couldn't see using anything else honestly as it makes it very easy to get a handle on how space is setup. I'm kinda wondering how you got the structures built the way you did actually, it seems like it musta been a lot of work to initially setup.

As ever I'll keep my eye to the maps and see what I can check :)

ttyl

Thanks mate :)

re. the initial setup, i just transposed EveMap (an old FFET application- an offline 3d map that you could flatten) onto Visio. It pretty much fell where it fell, although I have made various layout improvements along the way.

It did take a long time but once it was done, the rest is just maintenance and new features.

re. blog. It needn't be a hassle, have a look at mine and see what you think (http://www.ombeve.co.uk/blog).
Wordpress can host them for you, no fees, no fuss, easy to use, you don't need your own server or hosting.

Another day, yet another outpost.

Etherium Reach
In F9-FUV a new Amarr factory Outpost was deployed, this is the second Amarr factory in this constellation, only one more and the total becomes 3 for sov 4 again.

This brings E. Reach up to 13 outposts and puts it 5th place ahead of Tribute. The number of factories in the game to refineries is now 96 to 106 so we are 10 away from finally eclipsing that ratio and turning 0.0 from a wholly based mineral exploitation and 'frontier' area into a true 'development' area as was bound to happen. The majority of 'good' areas that needed refineries near the 'good' ore has dropped to almost nothing. Only Fountain, Cache, The Kalevala Expanse, The Spire, Immensea, and Pure Blind (kinda) don't have Refineries within reach of all the good ores in their space.

Most of those regions have been held as secondary or even third regions for some groups, leaving them under developed for literally years as other, richer or better placed regions took precedence over them and were developed. Leaving those regions as Periphery holdings with barely enough outposts to support more then 1 or 2 industrial alliances per region.

As to the blog, I appericate the links and will check them out. Not really sure about the lack of being able to give the ability to give readers a way to navigate around the info. But then again I'm sorta old school in that reguard, making my own sites was something I did back in the early 90's and I wasn't great at it, but I always made sure all the info was readily available to whoever looked at em. Kinda like your region links in the map, those make it so easy to get everything needed from the maps that without them I doubt the info would be easy to get ahold of without going back and forth.

As to YOUR blog, I really hope it's not true. One you've been someone I've liked having in EVE. Yes I've never spoken to you outside of this forum but without your maps I doubt I'd ever be able to have gotten my head wrapped around 0.0. And if your map is truly not going to be updated anymore, maybe I should take some lessons and learn to keep it updating. I think you know I love the thing and want to see it continue with my 'watch' being one of the main reasons. I've always wanted to see the maps up to date. That and I think the older players in this game only get better with age :) Would be a shame to lose ya man and (only after ya) would be a shame to lose the map too.

Please reconsider.

Thanks Ban, I won't be leaving Eve for ever, just a couple of months until I get my RL back on an even keel.

Wow, I like this new trend :)

Tribute

In J-GAMP a new Amarr Factory was deployed. Making this the 1st outpost in this constellation.

In MJI3-8 a new Amarr Factory was deployed. Making this the 2nd outpost in this constellation.

In M-OEE8 aa new gallente office was deployed. Making this the 3rd outpost in this constellation and giving it sov 4.

Yes all 3 outposts were dropped at once in the same night, making Tribute go from a way in the back 6th place region to the new 4th place region with a total of 16 outposts.

This makes the number of factories in the region a sickening 9 factory outposts and two NPC conquerable factory outposts. Assuming JUST lvl 1 upgrading for the factory outposts you get 270 manufacturing slots, add in the 2 NPC conquerable factories and you get another 100. Add in the refineries/caldari post and gall post and you get an additional 14 for a ground breaking 384 manufacturing slots in a 0.0 region.

Only providence comes close and their 32 outposts come more up around 420 slots total for over double the outpost totals.

This 'new trend' we seem to be seeing by the way, is dropping 3 outposts at the same time to make a constellation go right into sov 4. This is usually very risky, but as time goes on more people seem to be willing to risk 120 billion in outpost eggs and filler for a 'quick change'. I do hope it continues for outpost total wise :).

These outposts also close the gap between factories and refineries from 106 refineries v 96 factories to a more narrow 106 to 98. I hope we see factories break 100 before the month is up and surpass refineries by the end of April.

more to come as always, I'll keep a sharp eye out and report them as they come in. :D

Nice one! 3 outposts at once is quite the spectacle! As you say, instant sov 4.

Cheers, next!

Wow, tons of outposts this week eh?

Branch
In O-JPKH a new Amarr Factory was dropped, bringing branch to a total of 15 outposts, and tying it with Tribute for 4th place.

1. Providence 32
2. Delve/Catch 20
3. Feythabolis 15
4. Tribute/Branch 14

The number of factories to refineries drops to 106 to 99, only 7 away from refineries losing the top slot.

The 'wave' of industrialization that is sweeping 0.0 is only increasing daily, as more and more sov 4 clusters are 'dropped' or single and double outpost combo's are 'finished off' to make things easier to defend and better for the local economies.

And as even 'junk' 0.0 is colonized and industrialized, people are realizing that super caps or even regular caps built and sold as a group can net even the most 'trashy' space into a gold mine if only for it's capacity to build items that can net 30 to 60 billion in profit for 2 months of work. So even no moon, no good ore space could become extremely profitable.

Hrm, maybe your right. Somewhere to put these theories might not be bad

Ttys, eyes open as always!

Even MO4R factories!

Wicked Creek
In 1-7B6D a new Amarr factory was deployed, this is the 7th outpost for the region and the 3rd in this particular constellation. This makes 2 sov 4's in the region and one lone refinery in a ice mining system to make it a neat and tidy region where almost all good ores can be reached within a few jumps of an outpost.

This narrows the gap to 106 refineries to 100 (FINALLY 100!!!!!) factories. With the current trend we might see my prediction about factories surpassing refineries quite shortly.

Hope to bring ya more soon!

Thanks mate, I thought I'd replied to your other one already! So the race is on, factories bringing up the inside track, closing the gap! :)

Yay More farctories!!

Insmother
In EUU-4N a new Amarr Factory was deployed, this is the 3rd outpost in the constellation and the 2nd sov 4 constellation for Insmother. This is probably a direct reflection to the war brewing in the east, but that isn't the focus of my posts. It is nice to see that Insmother finally is approaching 10 outposts (this was the 9th) and that the region is still developing. It's still rated as one of the top 10 regions in the game based upon ore and true security rating.

This makes the gap down to 106 refineries to 101 factories. Ever closer to finally going from a mineral exportation driven 0.0 economy to a building 0.0 economy.

More to come as they appear!

Catch

In 3GD6-5 a new Caldari Research outpost was deployed, this is the 5th outpost in the constellation and puts Catch into 2nd place above Delve with respectable 21 outposts vrs Delves 20.

These have been a bitch to see these last days, the API key readers are still behaving badly and such. But manual checks have been my best way to do so.

:)

With the tech 3 introduction Research Outposts will be more important and alliances might be more apt to build them from now on. We'll see, and I hope all is well with you Ombey.

Hi Ban, many thanks for these 2 updates. You thnk T3 will influence people's decisions over which kind of outpost they put up? I get the impression players are a bit "meh" about T3. Of course, CCP might adjust them in the future...

Yet another day, yet another outpost(s).

In Feythabolis

It seems the new owners are getting busy with the swarm of constellations with just 2 outposts in each left behind from the ASCN days. The following were put up in the last few days.

In M2GJ-X a new Amarr Factory outpost was deployed.

In ZID-LE a new Amarr Factory outpost was deployed.

This brings Feythabolis frimly into 4th place outpost wise. However most importantly it seems Feyth will eclipse Tribute as the most factory lines in any region with this latetest deployment.

Tribute contains 7 factory outposts and 2 npc conquerable factories. With this latest deployment Feyth now has 8 factory outposts and 2 npc conquerable factories. The levels of upgrade of each factory for each region is unknown, but the base numbers put Feyth in the lead.

We'll see how this effects the respective wars in the future as each region begins pumping out super caps for it's respective sides. It's also interesting to note that Branch also has as many factories as Feyth does at this moment. The difference being that 5 different factions control all those Branch outposts while Tribute and Feyth are solely controlled by single alliances.

Also with these two factory deployments in the last two days it brings the number of refineries to factories even closer together with refineries staying at 106 and factories hitting 103.

There are still many more spots across New Eden that just waiting to be 'finished' with sov 4's or people figuring out that 7 outposts in the same constellation is almost impossible to take. So this new wave of industrialization I only expect to expand.

As for people saying 'meh' to tech 3, I believe your right. More people dislike it, then like it. Yet as the markets are flooded with the junk at the moment the costs might decrease faster then anything else we've seen. So people might play in the stuff, if only to say 'they have'. Tho personally flying a 'cruiser' that's 600 to 1000 million is the height of stupidity in my mind. I fly my caps all the time, and I expect them to die but their work horses that can take a beating. These cruisers aren't the same and already we've seen some pilots lose a few of them with mothership like fits on them.

I think some 0.0 alliances will invest in Caldari research outposts depending how vocal their membership is about getting one put up, how rich the alliance is and how much work their willing to put in. But I'm not expecting miracles, there are something like 18 or so research outposts in the game atm. That's woefully inadequate, but with POS modules that do the same thing the expectation that dozens more will be put up is remote. No matter how much I'd like to see it :)

Sorry this got wordy, and I hope to give you more updates soon!
